Rama was strong, intelligent, and respected everyone. He was the eldest son of King Dasharatha and beloved by all, truly a jewel among princes.

Page 2 — Sita's Swayamvar and a Broken Bow
Narrator
When it was time for Rama to marry, he traveled to the kingdom of Mithila, where Princess Sita, a paragon of beauty and virtue, was holding her Swayamvar.
When Rama was ready to marry, he went to Mithila. There, Princess Sita was choosing her husband.
Narada
A Swayamvar! That sounds exciting! What was the challenge to win Sita's hand? Was it a test of strength or wisdom?

Page 3 — Exile to the Forest
Narrator
Just as Rama was about to be crowned king, a cruel twist of fate sent him, Sita, and his loyal brother Lakshmana into exile for fourteen years, due to a promise King Dasharatha had made.
Rama was going to be king, but he, Sita, and Lakshmana had to go to the forest for 14 years because of a promise.

Oh no, how sad! After all that joy, they had to leave their home? How did Prince Rama react to such a difficult command?

Page 4 — The Golden Deer and Sita's Abduction
Narrator
Years passed peacefully in the forest, until one day, a magical golden deer appeared. Sita wished for it, and Rama went to catch it, unknowingly a trick by the demon king Ravana.

A trick? Oh dear! What happened next? My heart is pounding with worry for Sita!

Ravana, the ten-headed king of Lanka, disguised himself and abducted Sita, carrying her away in his magical flying chariot, the Pushpaka Vimana, to his island kingdom.

Devastated by Sita's abduction, Rama and Lakshmana searched far and wide, eventually meeting the mighty Vanara (monkey) warrior Hanuman and his king, Sugriva.

Hanuman, with his incredible devotion and strength, leaped across the vast ocean to Lanka, found Sita, and delivered Rama's message of hope. He even set Lanka ablaze!

Upon reaching Lanka, a fierce and epic battle began between Rama's righteous army and Ravana's formidable demon forces. The fate of Dharma hung in the balance.

After a long and arduous battle, Rama, with his divine prowess, finally defeated the wicked Ravana, ending his reign of terror and restoring peace to the world.
