The ashram belonged to the great sage Vasishtha. He welcomed the king and offered to feed his entire army of thousands!
The ashram was home to a wise sage named Vasishtha. He said he would feed all the soldiers!

Vasishtha called upon Kamdhenu, the divine wish-fulfilling cow. In moments, she magically created a royal feast for every single soldier!
He had a magic cow called Kamdhenu. She made yummy food appear for everyone!

Give me this cow, Vasishtha! I will give you mountains of gold in exchange. A divine cow belongs with a king, not a hermit!
Give me that cow! I'll give you lots of gold for it!

But Vasishtha gently refused. Kamdhenu was not for sale. She belonged to the ashram and to dharma.
But the sage said no. Kamdhenu was not for sale!
Page 4 — Defeated by Spiritual Power
Narrator
Furious, Vishwamitra ordered his soldiers to take Kamdhenu by force! But the divine cow was not helpless.
The angry king told his soldiers to grab the cow! But the cow had a surprise!
Narrator
Kamdhenu glowed with spiritual fire and created a divine army from her own radiance! In moments, Vishwamitra's mighty warriors were completely defeated!
Kamdhenu started glowing and made a magic army! She beat all the soldiers easily!

His whole army beaten by a cow?! That must have really hurt his pride!

Page 5 — The Great Realization
Narrator
Vishwamitra sat in the dust, defeated for the first time in his life. His pride was shattered. But in that moment of defeat, something changed inside him.
Vishwamitra lost for the very first time. He felt sad. But then he started to think differently.

Physical strength... armies... kingdoms... they are nothing compared to the power of the spirit. I must find that power. I must become something greater than a king.
Being strong is not enough. I need to find a power that comes from inside me!

He's giving up being king? That's a really big decision!

Page 6 — Centuries of Penance
Narrator
Vishwamitra went deep into the forest and began the most extreme penance anyone had ever attempted. He meditated without moving, without eating, for not just years but centuries!
Vishwamitra went to the forest and sat very, very still. He didn't eat or move for a really long time!
Narrator
Seasons passed. Rain fell. Snow covered him. Vines grew around him. But he did not move. His determination was like a mountain.
Rain, snow, and sun came and went. Plants grew on him. But he still didn't move!

Centuries?! That's longer than anyone can even imagine! He must really want this!
That's sooo long! He really didn't give up!
Page 7 — The Tests
Narrator
The gods in heaven grew worried. Vishwamitra's tapas was so powerful that the heavens trembled! They sent terrible storms, raging fires, and illusions to break his meditation.
The gods got scared because Vishwamitra was so strong! They sent storms and fire to stop him!
Narrator
When that didn't work, they sent the most beautiful apsaras from heaven to distract him with dance and song. But Vishwamitra's will was unbreakable!
They even sent dancers to distract him! But nothing worked. He was too strong!

He didn't even flinch! Not even once! That's the strongest willpower I've ever seen!
He didn't even move! That's so brave!

Brahma
Vishwamitra, you have passed every test. You have conquered your ego, your anger, and your pride. I grant you the supreme title — Brahmarishi!
Vishwamitra, you did it! You beat every test! I now call you Brahmarishi!

It was the highest honor any sage could receive. Vishwamitra, once a warrior king, had become one of the greatest rishis in history.
